From the ruins of an old sanatorium, a charming four-star hotel was born, situated at an altitude of 1500 meters in the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park and UNESCO Global Geopark, with a stunning mountain landscape. Located in the mountain resort of Penhas Douradas, which boasts unique and preserved sanatorium architecture. The hotel, perfectly integrated into its surroundings, is inspired by local architecture and uses natural materials such as cork, which clads and insulates the exterior of one of the buildings, or birch wood, which clads the interiors, and has at its core environmental concerns and best practices aligned with the values of the Natural Park in which it is located.
