Geologists from around the world call them nubbins, tors,
castle-koppies or bomhardts. The shepherds give them any name that pops
into their heads. There is the Black’s head, the duck, the barge, the
friar and the nun, the wizard, the wolf, the hooded girl, the dog and
the toad. These amazing pieces were carved by the hand of erosion by
the ice, sun, rain wind and lichens. A huge museum just waiting to be
visited.
